Hole #1
The first shot of the day is always the toughest. Play your tee shot to the left center. This will make the approach shot much easier. A well placed tee ball should leave you a mid-to-short iron to this large green which slopes severely back to front.
Hole #2
This being the shortest par 4 on the course should give you a good chance at birdie. Be careful not to miss the fairway at the 100 yard mark, as there is a hidden water hazard on the left. This green is two-tiered, making your club selection very important.
Hole #3
This is a straightaway par 3, nothing hidden. You can clearly see what this hole has to offer. A very large green running back to front can leave you with a lengthy putt. Three putts are common here.
Hole #4
Watch out for those hidden water hazards on both sides on your tee shot. Put the premium on hitting the fairway. This is the longest hole on the course, so not hitting a driver will leave you with two very long shots to the green. This green runs left to right and can be a difficult birdie if the pin is not center cut.
Hole #5
This is a welcome relief after that long fourth hole. There is the opportunity to lower your score here. Water is not a problem. Hitting the green here will give you an excellent chance for birdie. Enjoy the view.
Hole #6
Now you have reached our version of amen corner. The next three holes will test your shot making and patience. Favor the left center of the fairway and avoid bunkers on the left. The trees on the right are very unforgiving. With a good drive, you are looking at a mid to long iron in, possibly a wood, to a well protected green. A par here is like gold.
Hole #7
Favor the right center of the fairway as a lateral. A tree-filled hazard runs the entire left side of the hole. This hole opens up after your tee shot and is reachable in two if you dare to cut the corner. Well placed shots will lead you to an easy birdie, but if you stray, you will pay.
Hole #8
One last hole to survive and you will be able to relax a bit. You need a good distance and to be left-center to open this hole up. Anything short or right will most likely result in bogey or more. A very difficult up and down if you miss this green. Oh, and whatever you do, don’t go over this green.
Hole #9
What a relief this is. A short par 4 that opens up down the left side. Play the left and you will have a very short iron into a wide open easy green. Hit down the right side, you will find everything you just saw on the last three holes. Regardless of how you do, the refreshment stand is here.
Hole #10
Time to make adjustments. It’s a whole different nine holes. This hole is short, but it’s a tight tee shot. Play left-center and you will have a short iron into a very small, well protected green. Missing this green will result in a very difficult par. Hitting this green is a must.
Hole #11
Relaxing par 3. A very large green sloping from back to front. A straight shot will allow you to run the ball up. A missed shot right or left will most likely find sand. This could be trouble.
Hole #12
Straight away par 5. A very reachable and good scoring hole if you hit it straight. Heavy trees left and right and a waste area that will play havoc with a ball. The green is small and well protected. You don't want to go over the green on this hole.
Hole #13
This is short, but it looks like you’re hitting down a hallway. Maybe a long iron or three wood would be advised off the tee. Your second shot will not be any easier. A very small, tight, protected green awaits you. Accuracy is a premium here.
Hole #14
Grip it and rip it. Long par 5. You're going to need some distance. The right side is heavy on trees. A large bunker on the left must be avoided off the tee, but play this hole down the left side the rest of the way. You should be able to score well here.
Hole #15
This hole looks flat, but only on the left side. Missing the green to the right will result in a downhill nightmare. Keep this hole simple. Favor the left side and do not go for a right side pin.
Hole #16
A beast here. The longest playing hole on the course and almost always into the wind. When you get within reach of this green, do not miss it. A lateral hazard on the right, behind the green, and bunkers in front. Good luck. A par here is a winner.
Hole #17
Don’t let the lake and trees on both sides intimidate you. Play for the back of the green, anything short, right or left is going to be trouble. Keep your head down and swing easy. Note: if you’re having a bad golf day, you might want to use a water ball.
Hole #18
Straight and long. Just like the 16th you just played, but going in the other direction. Favor the left side and beware of those hidden water hazards on the sides like on the first two holes. If you have distance, easy par. If you do not, just chip it in. Hope you had a great experience, but either way, the 19th hole is to the left.
